Gold Field College of Education, Village Chhainsa, Teh. Ballabgarh Faridabad was established under the aegis of Gold Field Shiksha Sanstha in 2006, with the primary aim to provide value based job oriented quality education to the rural population. It is an unaided, coeducational, teacher Education College. For reaching the college the means of transport are Haryana and private roadways buses, auto rickshaws and tempos. However, the college also provides bus service to its students and staff.

The college is recognized by NCTE, Jaipur vide its letter no.  NRC/NCTE/F73/HR-352/17975-81  dated  30.05.2007  for 100 seats  and  for  additional  100  seats  vide  its  letter no.  NRC/NCTE/F-7/HR-840/28423-29   Dated 21.09.2007 and   corrigendum to the order  No  F. NRC/NCTE/F-7/HR-840/28423-29  Dated  21.09.2007  then letter no. NRC/NCTE/F-7/HR-840/33159- 33165 dated 28.11.2007, our college got permission to start M.Ed. Course with 25 students and granted approval by NCTE vide its letter no. F.NRC/NCTE/HR-1223/2008/60145-151 dated 13.09.2008. Additional 10 seats in M. Ed. Course and again 15 additional seats in M. Ed. Course. Now the college has 200 seats in B. Ed. Regular course and 50 seats in M. Ed. Regular course from session 2014-15.

Since 2006 the college was affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, now it is affiliated to Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind and is functioning on an independent campus spread over 2.5 acre of land, which belongs to Gold Field Shiksha Sanstha. The college physical infrastructure consists of well ventilated large Classrooms, various resource centres such as Science, Computer, Psychology, Educational Technology, Home Science, Library, Vehicle Parking Lot, and facilities for indoor and outdoor games. Including the Principal the teaching faculty comprises 29 teachers appointed on a regular basis. Out of them many teachers possess doctorate degree i.e. Ph. D. in Education. The non-teaching staff consists of clerks, laboratory attendant, file restorer, and supporting staff viz. peons, chowkidars, mali and sweeper.

Gold Field college of Education was started on 18th December, 2006, with the approval of the Govt. of Haryana, Thus as on date the college offers Bachelor and Master Degree courses in Education in regular mode.

general objectives of the college

  • To promote in student teachers basic fundamental qualities such as truthfulness, Co-operation, love and compassion, peaceful living, non-violence, courage, equality, justice, dignity of labour feeling of brother hood and scientific temper.
  • To train student teachers to become responsible citizens in their personal and social lives.
  • To enable them to understand and appreciate the national goals of socialism and democracy and to contribute towards their realization.
  • To help them understand and appreciate themselves and continually strive for their inner development and becoming thus moving towards the goal of self-actualization.
  • To develop competencies and skills needed for preparation of teachers and teacher educators.

B.Ed. Regular Course for one year duration

Started in 2006 with an intake of 100 students. In 2007-08 the college got permission for an intake of 200 students. Recognised by: NCTE Jaipur. Since 2006 the college was Affiliated to:    M.D. University, Rohtak and now it is Affiliated to Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind.

 

M.Ed. Regular Course for one year duration

Started in 2008 with an intake of 25students. At present college has 50 seats in M. Ed. course.

Recognised by: NCTE Jaipur and  Affiliated to:    Since 2006 the college was Affiliated to:    M.D. University, Rohtak and now it is Affiliated to Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind.

Note: Now both B. Ed. and M. Ed. courses are of two years duration since 2015 and 2016 respectively.

LibraryThe epitome of learning; The library of the college is enriched with more than eight thousand books of different authors and publishers. It has the facility of more than 18 journals, National Survey, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, News Papers, Computers and Printers.

 

Transport Facility: Transport facility is available from all parts of Faridabad district which is free for teaching and non-teaching staff.
